Aetna: Online Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements

On July 1, 2015, Aetna begin electronic delivery of Explanation of Benefits statements (EOBs) for all small business plan sponsors (2-100 employees). This will affect all members registered in Aetna Navigator® with an e-mail address. Members not registered in Aetna Navigator will continue to receive paper EOBs through the mail.

For members After July 1, members can return to receiving paper EOBs by updating their Aetna Navigator preferences.  Aetna will send members information about this change through a postcard and e-mail in June.

For plan sponsors Small business plan sponsors (2-100 employees) will automatically be included in this campaign unless they opt out. Aetna send them a postcard or e-mail that explains this campaign. Plan Sponsors can opt-out by submitting an opt-out form through before May 27, 2015.
