American Heart Association Certifications

Is your Company ready for an emergency? PK Wellness Matters offers Basic Life Support and Heartsaver Certifications from the American Heart Association. These certifications will help prepare your employees so that they can have the skills to respond to a variety of emergency situations.

Basic Life Support Certification

  • The BLS Course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest focusing on the concepts of high-quality CPR.
    • Who should take this course?
      • Healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
    • Course Covers:

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

  • AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. It also offers the basics of first aid, covering how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.
    • Who should take this course?
      • Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a certification for a job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
    • Course Covers:
      • Adult CPR and AED
      • Opioid-associated Life-threatening Emergencies
      • Child CPR and AED
      • Infant CPR
      • First Aid Basics
      • Choking in an Adult, Child or Infant

Heartsaver® CPR AED

  • CPR training helps people learn the skills and develop the confidence to provide CPR when encountering a cardiac arrest victim.
    • Who should take this course?
      • Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a certification for a job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Heartsaver® First Aid

  • AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. It offers the basics of first aid, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. The most important goal of this course is to teach students to react in the case of an emergency.
    • Who should take this course?
      • Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a certification for a job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

  • The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the training needs of childcare providers in almost all U.S. states* while also being a resource for parents, grandparents, teachers, babysitters or anyone responsible for the safety of children.
    • Who should take this course?
      • A workforce where First Aid CPR AED training may prove invaluable for the safety of both their employees and customers (childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, coaches, etc.). Anyone that desires to be prepared for an emergency in any setting (parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians) should also consider this course.
